As part of National Careers Week, the We Want You Careers Engagement and Outreach Team is excited to share a new video that highlights the exciting career opportunities in health and social care.

The video, brought to life by talented drama students from The Cleeve School in Cheltenham, and professionals working across the integrated care system, aims to inspire young people across Gloucestershire to consider careers in these vital sectors.

Charlie Presley, One Gloucestershire’s We Want You Lead said: “We are incredibly proud of the new careers video and the fantastic work done by the drama students at The Cleeve School.

Their enthusiasm and creativity have made this project a success, and we believe this video will inspire many young people to explore the rewarding careers available in health and social care.”

The video features real-world scenarios and insights into the variety of roles available within health and social care, making it both informative and engaging for young audiences.

The We Want You outreach programme supports young people between the ages of 12-15 to discover future health and social care careers in Gloucestershire, by providing inspiring in-person workshops to help students to reflect on the skills and personal interests that they have which can be matched to a future career.

This free offering from One Gloucestershire is designed to give young people a first-hand look at health and social care careers and the incredible opportunities offered.

Charlie added: “We are passionate about empowering students to see their local health and care organisations as more than just a workplace or a place of study.

They are places where their unique skills and talents are valued, and where they can nurture a rewarding, lifelong career.”
