Accessibility Statement
One Gloucestershire Integrated Care System (ICS) is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This accessibility statement applies to the One Gloucestershire ICS website (https://www.onegloucestershire.net).
Compliance Status
This website is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA standard.
Since its publication, we have focused extensively on ensuring the site is accessible to everyone. This process has included content reviews, improvements to navigation and technical updates to align with WCAG 2.1.
We have made numerous enhancements to improve the experience for screen-reader users and those relying on keyboard navigation, making the site smoother and more intuitive. Despite these efforts, we recognise there are still areas that could be improved. For details, refer to the ‘Non-Accessible Content’ section below.
Non-Accessible Content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
Non-Compliance with the Accessibility Regulations:
- Third-party websites, documents, and multimedia: We cannot guarantee the accessibility of content hosted on external websites that we link to, including PDF, Word, and Excel documents.
- PDF accessibility issues: While we strive to make our PDFs as accessible as possible, some may not meet accessibility standards. If you experience issues, contact us at GLCCG.enquiries@nhs.net.
Content Outside the Scope of Accessibility Regulations:
- Archived content: Some older documents and multimedia published before 23 September 2018 are exempt as they are not essential to our services.
- Third-party content: We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content that is embedded directly onto our web pages. For example, the Twitter/X widget on the homepage contains some in-accessible elements.
This is not necessarily a comprehensive list as we are still looking to identify and remedy any further accessibility issues.

Downloading documents
What formats are downloadable documents provided in?
Downloadable documents on the website are provided in a variety of formats. The most common are PDF, Word and Excel. If you require a document in an alternative format, please contact us at GLCCG.enquiries@nhs.net.
PDF accessibility
We try to make sure that PDF documents on the website are as accessible as possible. If you are having problems accessing a particular document, please let us know at GLCCG.enquiries@nhs.net.
Is there anything I can do to make PDF documents more accessible?
Useful information about services to make Acrobat documents more accessible is provided on Adobe’s website.
Further information can be found on Adobe pages on accessibility.
What if I don’t have the software to open the document?
Most computers already have the software to open these document formats. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader (for reading PDFs), it is available from the Adobe site.
How do I save documents to my computer?
If you have a PC, right-click on the link to the document. If you use a Macintosh, hold down the mouse button over the link. In both cases, a popup menu will then appear. Scroll down the menu and click on ‘Save target as’. You will then be asked to choose a folder on your computer where you can save the document.
Some browsers such as Firefox and Chrome automatically download documents to your computer when you open them.
Website appearance
Our custom-built accessibility toolbar is designed to make your experience on our website more user-friendly. Below, you’ll find a guide to its features and how to use them effectively.
Using the accessibility toolbar
To open the toolbar, simply click on the ‘Accessibility Tools’ option located in the top-right menu of our website.
Adjusting Text Size
The toolbar offers four font size options:
- Small

- Large
- Extra Large
Select the size that best suits your needs by clicking on it. Once chosen, the website’s text size will update automatically. Your preference will be saved for future visits. If you want to reset the size, click the ‘Reset All Changes’ button.
Highlighting Links
With this feature, you can make all links more visible by giving them a yellow background with black text. To activate, select ‘Yes’ under the ‘Highlight Links’ option. If you no longer need this feature, choose ‘No’ or click ‘Reset All Changes.’
Changing the Font
This option allows you to switch to a different font style. One of the available fonts is OpenDyslexic, a free and specially designed font to improve readability for users with dyslexia. Learn more about OpenDyslexic.
Altering Contrast Settings
You can customise the website’s colour scheme to improve visibility. The options include:
- Black and White: White text on a black background.
- Black and Yellow: Yellow text on a black background.

To revert colour adjustments without affecting other settings, use the ‘Reset’ button under the contrast section. For a full reset, use the ‘Reset All Changes’ button.
Saving Your Preferences
All settings are automatically saved when you navigate to another page or leave the site. Your preferences will remain intact if you return later. To revert everything to default, use the ‘Reset All Changes’ button in the toolbar.
Resetting Your Adjustments
The ‘Reset All Changes’ button allows you to undo any modifications made through the toolbar. This will restore the website to its original appearance.
